Naturopathic and holistic care for Toronto

01Seeing a naturopath from home+

Toronto has no shortage of wellness clinics, but getting to one is another story. Between the Gardiner, a packed Line 1 and a full calendar, a 75-minute appointment across town can eat half your day. Somewhere Health is fully virtual, so you can see a licensed Ontario naturopathic doctor over secure video from your condo downtown or your home in North York.

If you've been searching for a holistic doctor in Toronto, a naturopathic doctor (ND) may be what you're after: someone who looks at your hormones, digestion, sleep, stress and nutrition together. NDs in Ontario are regulated by the College of Naturopaths of Ontario.

Your first visit is a 75-minute video appointment. If your ND recommends bloodwork, you can go to a community lab near you, and functional tests are mailed to your home. We see patients in every corner of the city, plus Mississauga, Vaughan and Markham.

02Bloodwork near you+

We send requisitions to LifeLabs, which has locations all over Toronto. A few central ones:

  • Queen & Church: 55 Queen St E
  • Yonge & College: 14 College St, Suite 402
  • Front & Spadina: 486 Front St W, Building F, Lower Level
  • College Street West: 340 College St
  • Sherbourne Street: 600 Sherbourne St

Prefer a different lab? You can also use any lab of your choice. Functional tests like DUTCH or GI-MAP are mailed straight to your home.

Frequently asked questions

Somewhere Health 101

What is Somewhere Health?

Somewhere Health is a virtual naturopathic clinic for women across Ontario. Our licensed NDs treat hormones, gut health, fertility and more over secure video, with testing at your local lab or by mail.

What should I expect from my first visit?

Your initial visit is 75 minutes over video. Your ND reviews your intake form beforehand, then goes through your history, symptoms and goals, and recommends testing only when it will change your care.

Is virtual naturopathic care as good as in person?

Most of a naturopathic assessment is your history, symptoms and lab results, and all of that works well over video. If something needs a hands-on exam, we will tell you and coordinate with your family doctor.

Naturopathic care in Toronto

Is a naturopath the same as a holistic doctor?

Not exactly. "Holistic doctor" isn't a regulated title. A naturopathic doctor (ND) is a licensed health professional in Ontario who looks at your whole picture, including hormones, digestion, stress and nutrition. All of our NDs are registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario.

Do I need to come to a clinic in Toronto?

No. We don't have a clinic. Every visit happens over secure video, so you can book from home anywhere in Toronto. If you need bloodwork, we send your requisition to LifeLabs, or you can use any lab of your choice.

How is this different from a downtown Toronto clinic?

Same licensed care, minus the commute and the waiting room. You get a 75-minute first visit, a plan built around you and receipts for your extended health plan, without crossing the city.
