When testing is part of your plan, standard bloodwork happens at any LifeLabs or location near you, and specialty kits.

Do I need a referral to see a naturopathic doctor?

No. You can book directly with us, and we work alongside your family doctor or specialists whenever that helps your care.

What happens at my first visit?

Your initial consultation is 60 to 75 minutes. We go through your full history, symptoms, and goals, then map the testing and treatment plan that fit you.

Are visits really all virtual?

Yes. Visits happen over secure video or phone for patients anywhere in Ontario, and any lab work is done at a lab near you.

Can a naturopathic doctor order blood work in Ontario?

Yes. As naturopathic doctors we can order lab testing directly. Lab fees are paid to the lab, not billed to OHIP, and we review costs with you before ordering.

How much does it cost to see a naturopath?

Your initial consultation is $259 for 60 to 75 minutes. Follow-ups run from $60 for a 15-minute check-in to $215 for a full 60-minute visit, so you only pay for the time you need.

What is included in the initial consultation?

A full 60 to 75 minute visit: your complete health and symptom history, a testing plan tailored to you, and clear next steps. It is the foundation everything else builds on.

How much does functional testing cost?

Testing is billed separately by the lab and depends on which panel you need. We only order tests that will actually change your plan, and we review costs with you before anything is ordered.

Do I have to buy supplements?

No. We recommend supplements only when they genuinely support your plan, and you can order professional-grade options through our online dispensary if you choose.

Is naturopathic care covered by OHIP?

No. OHIP does not cover naturopathic visits, but many extended health plans through work or school do.

Will my insurance cover my visits?

Most extended health plans include naturopathic coverage, though the annual amount varies by plan. Check your plan details for the naturopathy line item before your first visit.

How do I claim my visits with insurance?

You receive an official receipt after each visit to submit to your extended health plan. Most insurers let you submit claims online in a few minutes.

Can I claim visits on my taxes?

Naturopathic visits may qualify as an eligible medical expense in Ontario if they are not reimbursed by insurance. Your accountant can confirm what applies to you.
